Finding True Comfort and Purpose, a message from Kelly

Though I knew of God my entire life, it wasn’t until my early thirties that I truly encountered Him as a personal comforter. My life had been marked by a pursuit of worldly success and a deep sense of unfulfilled purpose. As a divorced woman with three children, including one born outside of marriage, I struggled with shame and a sense of failure, and my efforts to hide my sins, and look good proved ineffective.

I tried to create an ideal family image through marriage, entering into courtships while disregarding principles of healthy relationships and scriptural standards. Raised in Catholic schools, I was well-acquainted with guilt and believed my worth was ed to my performance, leading me to compromise my values in search of love and approval.

Feeling desperate and defeated, I cried out to God in surrender. For the first me, on a tearful night, I experienced profound peace and the healing presence of the Holy Spirit. I realize that Jesus is the only one who can cover my sins through His work on the cross. I came to understand that God is not merely a set of rules but the embodiment of love and truth. This revelation lifted the veil from my eyes, igniting a new understanding and fervor in my heart. The healing power of Christ is the founda on of my journey and my calling as a Christan counselor, enabling me to share the Gospel and support others on their paths to healing and faith.
